Week 1 Day 2

                                   Project Beginning Cont. Week One Day 2 

    This is day 2 of my project for AICE Media Studies. Today I talked with my group about roles we will have and do. Roles include, actors, director, cinematographer, editor, lighting, producer, set designer, production coordinator, scriptwriter, etc. Each of us will have roles and be part of the making of the film. As we were talking about who gets what part I was also making up more ideas about the plot. For example, I wanted a more positive coming of age film and a lot of dialogue and narration included in the film. But I know that most coming of age films have a negative plot that eventually ends with a lesson that is learned. So most likely our opening will end with some sort of fight or argument that splits the main characters up. For roles, Sydney will be director since she will not be acting in the film so it will make filming easier so that me or Sloan don't have to check all the shots, Sydney can just look at them. Sloan will be the editor since she is very good at editing. Actors will be Sloan and I. Lighting manager will be Sydney. Producers will be SES production. Distribution company will be from All Right Production. Set designer will be Sloan and I.  Scriptwriter and storyboard writer will be me. These assignments are temporary and we can all do each of these jobs no problem. I wanted to give everyone a role that requires the same amount of work so no one feels like they are doing way more than another person. This project is very time consuming and will require a lot of focus. I don't plan on slacking off. I want to pass this class and eventually get my AICE diploma. By always staying on time this will help with my desired outcome.

Overall, today I accomplished the task of assigning roles to my group and I and discussing other possible ideas for the project. I got the jobs of writing the script, making the story boards, acting, and set designer.  I will do a good job with all of these and put in the most effort to help my group. I can also help with editing like picking out music and adding narration since those are something that is an easy task and it will take some stuff off Sloan's plate.
