Week 4 Day 14

 Reshoot Day- Day 14

Today is day 14. Today was reshoot day. My group and I had to reshoot some scenes that we didn't like and thought were awkward or poorly filmed. This included the scene of Serena waking up late and rushing to get to Grace's car outside. Originally the scene had a background filmed with our equipment so we had to shoot it to show no equipment and matched the vibe. I helped with giving the props and the location to my group. I made sure that this time there was not equipment in the back and that the setting match the scene. I also decided to try and make both the scenes of the girls waking up to be parallel which means to make them do same actions and wear the same outfits but different "fonts". When Grace was getting ready she was wearing a hot pink sweatshirt while Serena is now wearing a grey one. Both shots showed the girls waking up and putting their feet on the floor but in different ways. Grace was calm and slow while Serena was fast and in a hurry. This is meant to show how different they are but also the same since their long duration of friendship. What I did was reshoot myself waking up which was filmed on the Steadicam and once again I made the room match the other shots. Grace's room is filmed with posters of her favorite bands and movies while Serena's is just a plain light blue wall. I helped set both rooms up the day of. This is meant to add to the opening to show how again they are very different for one another now that they are in high school. Grace is getting ready very calmy and gracefully while Serena is rushing to get out of the door. All these shots were planned to be similar but different in the way of how the characters are supposed to be perceived. Overall, my contribution was providing props like my car, phone, Steadicam, microphone, and light. I helped with organizing the rooms for each of the scenes and helping the other extra actors understand their role in this.
