  Storyboards- Day 6 Today is day six of the planning period. In this post I will be telling you the rest of the storyboards. This is just a rough draft and as filming is done, there may be some changes. The shot from the car will be a straight cut that shows Serena and Grace walking into school. It will be a wide shot natural light since their school is an outside school. This shot will pan into the next shot. Grace is talking to Serena but as the camera pans over you can see another group of kids calling out for her and Serena gets up and just leaves Grace. I made the scene like this because I thought this would add some tension to the film. This will all be a long take also. The next shot will be a wide shot of the school and the bell's ringing signaling that school is over. The next shot will be a straight cut to Grace texting Serena from her if she needs a ride but she hears some laughter next to her and she sees Serena with that same group of people.   Storyboards- Day 5  Today is day five and I will be continuing the storyboard making. As of right now I have only done about half of the story. This is what I will talking about today, what each shot is, camera movements amongst other things. The other half will be completed tomorrow. For most of the opening there will be  narration present so it is easier for the audience to know what is going on. The very first shot is an moving aerial shot of a suburban neighborhood. The shot will be moving in the forwards direction. It will have natural light to illuminate how perfect it is. The credits will roll in also at this time. This will be a short take. Then, there will be a straight cut to Grace's house. It is a beautiful house with the sun illuminating it and a sprinkler going with birds chirping in the background. I started our storyboards today since my group and I have figured out our story for the opening and have given out roles to one another. The storyboards consist of the actions being done, camera shots being taken, camera movement, music, dialogue, sounds, lighting, location, narration, mise en scene, equipment needed, and set designs. The story will be of two best friends and how when they reach high school they get pulled into certain friend groups and start to figure out who they want to be.                                                         Project Beginning Cont. Week 1 Day 3 Today is day three of the eight week project for AICE Media Studies. On this post I will be talking about the characters in our movie opening. Their personalities, stereotypes, clothes, and reason to be included in this. The first character is Sloan's. Sloan's character is very outgoing, funny, caring, and smart. Her name is Grace. My character's name is Serena. She is more reserved, quiet, and careless. Our characters have been best friends since they were 7 years old and have been inseparable since.                                      Project Beginning Cont. Week One Day 2       This is day 2 of my project for AICE Media Studies. Today I talked with my group about roles we will have and do. Roles include, actors, director, cinematographer, editor, lighting, producer, set designer, production coordinator, scriptwriter, etc. Each of us will have roles and be part of the making of the film. As we were talking about who gets what part I was also making up more ideas about the plot. For example, I wanted a more positive coming of age film and a lot of dialogue and narration included in the film. But I know that most coming of age films have a negative plot that eventually ends with a lesson that is learned.                                  Project Beginning- Week 1 Day 1  The beginning of the eight week period where I will begin to start my final project for AICE Media Studies has begun.  Today, I found out who will be in my group. It will be me, Sloan, and Sydney. I chose these people to be in my group since I know they are both very hardworking and will put a lot of effort into this project, It also helps that we are friends. I discussed with them some ideas that I had for the final project. I said how we should pursue the coming of age genre for the film since we have been doing a lot of research on this specific genre.
